Canada Gairdner International Award

The Gairdner Foundation honours outstanding biomedical scientists who have made original contributions to medicine, aiming through research to conquer disease and relieve human suffering.

Fellowship in the Royal Society

The Society includes the most eminent scientists, engineers, and technologists from the UK and the Commonwealth.

Each year, the Society elects 44 new Fellows and six new Foreign Members, chosen for their scientific achievements—an honour regarded as the highest accolade a scientist can receive next to a Nobel Prize.

The Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate awards supporting exceptional all-round students from diverse countries who come to study at the University of Oxford.

The Rhodes is the oldest and perhaps the most prestigious international scholarship program in the world.

Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement

The Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement is the premier award for environmental science.

This Prize is given to people whose discoveries and solutions have helped focus worldwide attention on environmental problems.

Past Tyler Prize winners include Jane Goodall and Nobel Laureates Paul Critzen and Mario Molina.
