University of Alberta

Partnerships and Commercialization

The University of Alberta actively encourages local, national, and international research collaborations that advance knowledge and understanding, from specific issues to global challenges.

Our researchers actively engage with industry and the wider community to foster mutually beneficial partnerships.

These interactions cultivate new and interdisciplinary approaches to research and technology questions through knowledge discovery, sharing, translation, and dissemination for the benefit of society.

The Office of the Vice-President (Research) supports the development of research partnerships by creating and sustaining opportunities for the University’s academic community to engage productively and creatively with external organizations.
