Undergraduate Research
At the University of Alberta, your undergraduate research experience might range from designing theatre sets to learning about humanities computing to working on wireless-sensor technologies to creating a “Smart Condo” to monitoring climate change in the Brazilian rainforests or the Arctic.
During your time at the U of A, you’ll connect with professors and instructors who are actively involved in their own research, and research will be a vital part of your experience from your first year through graduation.
We’re proud of our excellent undergraduate teaching. U of A instructors have received 30 3M National Teaching Fellowships, more than any other university in Canada.
Read this section of our website for ways to get involved with the exciting research opportunities open to you at the University of Alberta.
